Websites

Over the last 12 years, I've created many websites. Some big projects, some never got past the concept stage. Some are long gone, others are still active. Here you can find an overview of what I've done.

Active sites

The following websites are online and active.

Zander Zoftware (1997?-present)

Since this is the website you're viewing right now, obviously this website is still online and active. In case you are watching this page in a search engine cache or in the Wayback Archive, click the link above to visit the website.
To be honest, I am not sure when I started my website (read the History page for more information) but I know it's somewhere between 1995 and 1998.

BadFellas (2004-present)

Being tired of the limitations of a certain online mafia game, two friends of mine came up with the idea of starting our own game in September 2004. BadFellas is the result of years of hard work, my first big project since LieroNet and my biggest project so far.

NightEye Website (2007-present)

NightEye is the nickname for my brother. He made a concept design in Photoshop which I recreated in HTML+CSS. The website features a portfolio of 3D modeling (including Google Earth buildings) he did.

Dutch World (2007-present)

Many languages have adopted words from the Dutch language, and Dutch place names can be found all over the world. This website is dedicated to both things and more Dutch things in the world.
The site was not been updated between April 2010 and July 2011, but I then decided to work on it again.

ZZ Weblog (2008-present)

After creating a weblog for People2People I decided to start a blog for myself. It is and always will be a work in progress. This was my first project to include an RSS/Atom feed.

The Sopranos location guide (2009-present)

Inspired by the Lost Virtual Tour, I started making a similar website for The Sopranos. As of January 2012 it contains over 360 confirmed filming locations for the show (much more than any other website), and the number is still increasing.

DonarMuseum (2011-present)

In July of 2009 my cousin and I started working on a digital "museum" for Donar, the major basketball team from our city. It launched on January 15, 2011.

Hester Jans-Molenberg (2011-present)

In August of 2011 I was asked to develop the website of a Dutch painter. I worked on it on and off between September and January and the website will go online this January!

Online sites

People2People Foundation (2008-2011)

Stichting People2People (People2People foundation) is a non-profit organisation which has projects in India, Poland, and Romania. In 2008, someone else made a design in Photoshop which I recreated in HTML+CSS. In 2010 I made a new design. I also wrote a weblog that was used by their volunteers.
In October 2011, the foundation decided to go a different direction and would no longer require my services. Their new website has nothing to do with me and I dissociate myself from it completely. To avoid confusion, I don't link to it.

Offline sites

The following websites are no longer online.

Jazz Jackrabbit Universe (1998-1999, 2000-2001?)

Near the end of 1998, Zef and I created a website dedicated to Jazz Jackrabbit, hosted at xoom.com. It lasted for about a year, but was revived a year later to last for another year. The Internet Archive saved a few pages.

School Project (1999)

In 1999, we had to do some project about the Jews in the Netherlands during World War II. Our school was part of an international project, and we had to make a webpage to tell the other schools something about ourselves. I was the one creating the webpage.
This page stayed online for over 9 years, but unfortunately it is now offline. Luckily, the Internet Archive stored it (except for the photo, unfortunately).

Blok Beton (1999)

Another school project. For our English course, we were asked to set up a fictional company. A friend and I started "Blok Beton Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists". We created a theme song for it and set up a simple webpage.
Using the Google 2001 search engine (online in September and October of 2008), you could see where it used to be, but unfortunately it is not online anymore and the Internet Archive did not save it either.

Winkelen.net (2000)

Pretty short project, we were planning to make a detailed guide of various shops ("winkel" in Dutch) in the north of the Netherlands. We started in early April and went online in July. After two of the four teammembers quit, the project was cancelled in early 2001.

LieroNet (2000-2006)

Early 2000 I was introduced to the game Liero by Zef Hemel. I was instantly addicted and started a website about it. The website featured many levels, skins, mods and programs for Liero. Later on downloads were added for the Liero sequels/clones LOSP and Gusanos.
Because of several reasons, mainly the size of the community and lack of time, LieroNet stopped in August 2006. In October 2008 I made the decision that LieroNet would go offline on January 31, 2009. Since then, all that remains is a page explaining what happened and the Liero History Viewer.
Various old versions of the site can be found in the Internet Archive.

Toolman (2001-2002)

A website for a friend of mine. Included many Dragonball-Z pictures, 2Pac wallpapers, 2Pac lyrics and most important, many photos of him and his friends. Three pages remain in the Internet Archive.

Toch Vrolijk Fanclub (2002-2004)

A website for the official Toch Vrolijk Fanclub, founded by my cousin and his father-in-law. The project started on July 6, 2002 and ended on February 3, 2004 when the band split up. The cancellation page lives on in the Internet Archive.

GTA-VC:NL (2003-2004)

After being an active teammember of GTA3:NL, a modification for the pc game Grand Theft Auto III which made everything Dutch, I became teamleader, lead texturer, translator and webdesigner of the GTA-VC:NL mod, a Dutch mod for GTA: Vice City. In August 2004 the project was pretty dead and in October 2004 the project was officially stopped.
This was my first website to use PHP.

Donarfans.nl (2004-2005)

A website by Donarfans, for Donarfans. Donar is the former name (and current nickname) of the main basketball club of Groningen. The website hadn't been maintained since April 2005 and was taken down in August 2006. The website and even the guestbook can still be seen in the Internet Archive though.

TOG_(X)_Clan (2004-2009)

The website for the Tactical Ops Groningen (TOG) X_Clan. Founded in 2002, the website started in January 2004. I left the clan in August 2007, since then I no longer maintained the website unless they asked me to change something. The domain was not renewed in July of 2009, but for some reason was active for almost a year longer.

GTA:SA NL (2005)

After the success of GTA-VC:NL I announced GTA:SA NL in December 2004. In June 2005, San Andreas was released for pc and the first version was released that same month. Due to a lack of interest from the community, the project stopped after just two versions in July 2005.
