Photography

For a long time, I've been interested in photography. In 1999, my dad gave me his old Pentax ME F single-lens reflex camera, which I used with great pleasure. The photos currently (August 2011) used on the Wikipedia page (link above) are photos of that camera.
At that time, I didn't think much of digital cameras. The quality wasn't good, printing your photos was expensive, and digital SLR's were not available to the consumer.

In 2004, I registered at Wikipedia and quickly found that digital cameras were convenient and they made better quality photos than a few years prior. Printing photos also became cheaper. In July 2006 I got my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot A530. I liked the fact that I could take as many photos as I wanted without wasting film, but I disliked the fact that it simply wasn't an SLR.

In December 2008 I bought a Canon EOS 450D (called Canon EOS Rebel XSi in North America or Canon EOS Kiss X2 in Japan), my first digital SLR. Later on I bought a zoom lens and a flash for it.

My main interests are landscape (in the broadest sense) and sports (basketball) photography.

Gallery

I will add photos later on. For now you can see a gallery on Wikimedia Commons which features over 290 photos as of January 16th 2012, or my Panoramio gallery which has over 590 photos.
